We have realised that there are quite a lot of 100% free range pig farms out there and the demand for 100% free range pork is ever increasing so we decided to make a list to further educate the consumer about our product. Whether you are small or big there may be a butcher, restaurant out there that is looking for your pigs. We are getting together a list of these farms to make it easier to identify them from the commercial farms when that certain butcher or restaurant is looking for pigs. Free Range pig raising is a huge learning curve and we all at some stage wished, I am sure, that we had been able to phone someone that maybe had a bit more experience than we did when we started out. There are a few people out in the wider community that hold hands-on workshops which can be helpful but not everyone can attend these and it is just nice to be able to pick up a telephone or email and be reassured that what we are doing is in the best interest of the pigs, albeit feeding, housing, vaccinating, not vaccinating, weaning early or later etc etc
